Due to increasing demand across the Tucson market, we are expanding our banquet service team and seeking polished, reliable banquet event servers.
Position SummaryThe Banquet Event Server provides high-quality service in a variety of event environments such as corporate banquets, weddings, galas, fundraisers, and private events. This is a flexible, on-call position that fits professionals who take pride in customer service, enjoy variety in their workday, and want consistent event opportunities.
Key Responsibilities• Provide professional banquet-style service including tray passing, buffet assistance, table service, and event breakdown• Follow service timelines and direction from onsite captains and leads• Set up banquet tables, linen, glassware, and service stations• Deliver a polished guest experience with strong attention to detail• Carry and serve trays of plated meals or glassware safely and efficiently• Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing event needs• Follow venue and company guidelines for safety, uniform, and sanitation
Qualifications• Minimum 6 months of banquet service, catering, or restaurant hospitality experience• Ability to carry cocktail trays, serve wine, and provide banquet-style service• Arizona Title 4 (Basic/Manager) certification preferred for events involving alcohol service• ServSafe Food Handler card required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire• Reliable transportation to travel to event locations across Tucson• Strong communication and customer service skills• Weekend and evening availability required
Physical Requirements• Stand and walk for 6–10 hours per shift• Lift and carry up to 35 pounds• Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed• Work in indoor and outdoor event environments, sometimes in changing temperatures
Work Environment• Team-based environment with direction from event captains and clients• High-energy events with varying pace• Assignments issued through mobile scheduling; flexibility is essential
Compensation• Pay-rates range from $15-$20 per hour, depending on the event
